C.E.S. to participate in the Israel Cleantech Tour in California

C.E.S. has been selected, as one of the twelve leading Israeli companies involved in the Cleantech field, to participate in the coming Israel Cleantech Tour hosted by CICC (The California Israel Chamber of Commerce). The tour will take place at the Bechtel Conference Center, Encina Hall, 616 Serra St. Stanford, California.

Twelve leading Israeli Cleantech companies have been selected to meet with California's Cleantech Giants from November 10th to November 13th.

The California Israel Chamber of Commerce (CICC) announced that 12 leading Israeli Clean Technology companies have been selected to participate in a delegation to meet with industry leaders, investment firms and utility giants during November 10-13, 2008 in California.

The CEOs of the selected Israeli companies will engage with an entire ecosystem of Cleantech leaders in California in an attempt to find collaboration, partnerships and investments. The CICC, a non-profit, industry supported organization, launched its Cleantech initiative to accelerate collaboration, co-investment and partnership between the two states. This effort builds on its proven model of success in creating unique partnership opportunities in the technology sector.

C.E.S. will be presenting the world's first true comprehensive and fully integrated energy management system, enabling energy consumers and suppliers to jointly increase energy management efficiency, reduce peak demands and save energy.

C.E.S. will be represented by its CEO Mr. Yaron Sheinman, and by Mrs. Tamar Naor, Director and Corporate Business Development.

The key leaders behind the CICC Cleantech Initiative include: PG&E, GE Energy, Sunpower, Energy Recovery Inc., Google, Perkins Coie, Chevron Energy Solutions and BrightSource as well as policymakers such as the California Public Utilities Commission and the U.S. Department of Energy.

Also joining are investment firms such as Silicon Valley Bank, Applied Ventures Greylock Partners, Nth Power, Intel Capital, Israel Cleantech Ventures, US Venture Partners, Vantage Point Venture Partners, and Jefferies. Participating research institutions include SRI International, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Tel-Aviv University and Stanford Energy Crossroads.

"We're looking for the best new ideas to help us continue to generate clean energy for our customers," notes Hal LaFlash, PG&E's Director of Emerging Clean Technology Policy. "We recognize that innovations come from around the world, and Israel has proven time and time again, that it's a great resource for innovation."

The visiting Israeli companies represent a broad range of sectors, such as renewables, energy efficiency, pollution control and water. They include:

The Israel Cleantech Tour will include meetings, facility tours and roundtables at PG&E, the California Public Utilities Commission, Sunpower, Google, San Jose Water, and other local investment firms, universities and companies.

An open showcase for industry, press and investors will take place on November 11th at Stanford University's Bechtel Conference Center.

In addition to company presentations The Israel Cleantech Showcase will include a keynote speech by Andy Karsner, (Assistant Secretary of the Department of Energy, 2006-2008), and presenters from GE Energy Financial Services, SRI International, Applied Ventures, Intel Capital, Kinrot, Energy Recovery Inc., Better Place, CMEA Ventures, Israel Cleantech Ventures, Virgin Green, and Chevron Energy Solutions.
